Interesting developments

So I didn’t manage to complete the blog challenge.

If I’m totally honest, it had the opposite effect on me. Seeing everyone else in the challenge posting every day with new and interesting topics drained me of inspiration. I couldn’t find the words or the willpower to write about anything.

As a result, I haven’t been on this blog in about a month and a bit. It’s an interesting reaction, as I thought the challenge would increase my blogging skills and turn me into some kind of blogging superhero (I might have put a little too much pressure on myself).

Blog challenge aside, I’ve had a brilliant July!

By brilliant, I mean incredibly busy and massively tiring, but spiritually and physically strengthening.

I got a new job, my old job hit an amazing conclusion to a project I’ve been working on for a while, and I even went to Spain for the first time. It was a month of highs and even higher highs.

With hindsight, there was so much I could have blogged about in that month, but whenever I sat down to write a post for the challenge I was completely and utterly blocked on what it should be about. I feel a bit silly about the whole thing.

After a short break, I’ve come back renewed and ready to write some more about …stuff. I’m still figuring out what I want to write about, but I’m not going to pressure myself into anything. I just want to live my life and go with the flow.

This is a short ‘I’m back!’ blog post from me, but watch this space. I’ve got plans.

Distant evil laughter…
